Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the site at toctocdance.online actually does today. Video generation, accounts and payments are not open yet; when they open, this page will be updated before the first video is made.

The photo you pick

The photo you choose on the home page stays in your browser. The page checks the file type (JPG, PNG or WebP) and size (up to 10 MB), reads the file into the browser's memory and shows its name, and nothing is sent to our servers. Closing the tab removes it. If you later use a generation feature, the policy in force at that time will say where the photo goes and how long it is kept.

The email you leave

If you ask to be told when generation opens, we store the email address you type, the page language and a fixed message saying you want an update, with the tag "waitlist:toc-toc-dance". We use it for one purpose: to tell you when generation or payments open. The message is stored in our own database and a copy is sent by email to our hello@ mailbox. There is no charge and no account is created. To have it removed, write to the contact address below from the same email.

Usage counts

We count a few interactions so we can see whether the page works: the main button was pressed (and whether Person or Pet was selected), a price button was pressed (and which pack), the email form was opened, and an email was saved. We also record how long each page was visible. Each count stores the event name, the page path, the page language, a few small details such as the pack, the site that linked to you (host name only), the campaign labels on that link, a source category such as "search" or "social", and a visitor code made from your IP address and browser signature that changes every day and is never stored in plain form. No IP address, no cookie and nothing you typed is kept with these counts. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted. When a price button is pressed we also receive an email that says which pack, the page, the time and the country reported by our hosting provider, with no personal details.

Traffic may also be measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify visitors.

Your browser

The site sets no cookies today. It keeps three small records in your browser's own storage: for the current tab, the site that linked to you (host name only), the campaign labels on the link and the path of the first page you opened; for 30 days, the same details for your first visit and for the most recent visit that came from another site; and, when we test the site ourselves through a special link, a "test" mark so our own clicks are left out of the counts. Nothing is kept if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and clearing this site's data removes all of it. If we ever add an analytics service that sets cookies, it will load only after you accept it in a banner, and your choice will be stored under one key so the banner does not return.

Service providers

The site and its API run on Cloudflare, and the email you leave is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. The notification copy is sent through our own mail relay (agentic-inbox), with Plunk or Resend as fall-backs when the relay is unavailable. We do not share your email with anyone else and we do not sell data.

Children and other people's photos

The service is for adults and their pets. Do not use a photo of a child, a public figure or anyone who has not given you permission. If you believe someone has left your email address without your consent, write to us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the email you left by writing to the contact address. We answer from the same mailbox.
